Over a period of six years, the Conservancy negotiated with Central Hudson how the property owned by the utility could better serve the people of High Falls. Extensive improvements were defined by the Conservancy, however CHG&E was restricted by internal policies to limit what could be done. In the end, the Conservancy specified that the patio where the falls can be viewed would be resurfaced, new fence installed, and four benches and a chess table would be installed. The project was completed in November, 2018.
